Fabric Fellowship
Deploying AI for the benefit of local communities
Fellowship Introduction and Objective
The Fabric Fellowship's objective is to address the challenge many young AI developers around the world are encountering: moving AI projects from concept to reality. Our goal is to create a comprehensive network of expert industry deployers (mentors) and mentees, which will help developers deploy their AI innovations for the benefit of their local communities. By supporting deployers with a community of like minded innovators, the Fabric Fellowship not only commits to bringing the benefits of AI to all corners of the world but also promotes AI becoming a tool for global prosperity.
Fellowship Overview
The Fabric Fellowship is a one-year fellowship during which individuals (mentees) from around the world will be paired with industry experts (mentors) to design, develop, and deploy AI projects in their local communities. Mentees will benefit from access to industry experts and their experience, as well as the wider community of fellows working on AI deployment around the world.
Expectations and Outcomes
- •Fellows will be expected to participate in quarterly Fellowship-wide calls
- •Mentors will meet with their Fellow(s) as a group on a quarterly basis to discuss AI deployment difficulties and provide mentorship
- •Fellows will be expected to write a short blog post at some point in their fellowship discussing their AI use case to be published online by the Fellowship AND submit a 1-3 minute short-form video showcasing their AI use case
- •Fellows will submit their AI use case at the end of the Fellowship to the TRACE lab's "Fabric" repository of AI use cases from around the world
